"Make It Happen"
The Urban League Greater Cleveland Young Professionals (ULGCYP), an auxiliary of the
Urban League of Greater Cleveland was designed to provide young professionals in the Greater
Cleveland area, with a forum that fosters professional development, community service, social
awareness, and political involvement.
This new developing force is composed of key local talent and young professionals committed to
supporting and promoting the mission of the Urban League of Greater Cleveland through social
and civic engagement.
ULGCYP is one of 40+ chapters of the National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP),
which serves as the umbrella organization under the National Urban League to support the
League’s three pronged agenda:
- Financial Literacy
- Real-World Education
- Political Participation
We earnestly believe in our members and strive to develop programs that encourage individual
members’ personal, professional, and civic growth. We work to strengthen our members by
encouraging them to achieve balance in their lives even as they work to strengthen their
communities. We pride ourselves in having a diversity of professional backgrounds and we aim
to share our experiences, learn from each other, and unite our community through active
involvement.
Our membership runs the gamut — from entrepreneur to engineer, scientist to social worker. We
define "professional" as anyone who is committed to his or her career and personal development,
no matter the chosen occupation.

and mail it, along with a $75 check made payable to the Urban League Greater Cleveland Young
Professionals, to the address listed below. Membership is renewable annually on the anniversary
of your membership.
