Something NEW On The Horizon!
ULGC solely depends on the contributions of its sponsors, corporate members and grants to keep it operating in order to bring its services to the community. Due to the fact that the economy is changing and affecting most businesses and in order to keep up with these changes, ULGC is creating another much needed resource project for supplemental revenue that is needed to help us keep on providing our many services to the community without any interruption of our services. This new revenue generating project will also benefit businesses and consumers in our community.

 What Can I do To Expand My Business?
Shirlene Banks (center) and Vickie Poland (right), business co-owners of VSP Beauty Supply, came to SBDC for a consultation with Ms. Samad, Business Advisor, on expanding their business. Most small business owners feel that getting a loan for their business expansion is not an easy task and it quickly becomes a problem to move the business forward to the next level. VSP Beauty Supply is a retail store that sells hair and beauty products and is located at 7217 Lorain Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio 44102.

 Looking for a Computer Training?
Fanny Mei, is one of the many students who attend the Special Computer Training Program at Urban League of Greater Cleveland. She is taking a Microsoft office suite applications class in which it will help her to become more marketable for employment in the Greater Cleveland area.
The ULGC Computer Training Program is available to anyone who is interested in elevating their knowledge to the next level. This comprehensive preparation for entry-level positions and business administration includes reinforcement of literacy skills, business English and Mathematics.

United Way Nights at Jacobs Field
Attention all baseball fans! United Way of Greater Cleveland is teaming up with the Cleveland Indians to offer greatly discounted tickets to two Tribe home games at the end of April. United Way will receive a significant portion of each ticket sold through this promotion.

The NxLevel for Entrepreneurs course is a 12-week session of intensive business training.

The Urban League of Greater Cleveland Young Professionals (ULGCYP), an auxiliary of the Urban League of Greater Cleveland (ULGC) was designed to provide young professionals in the Greater Cleveland area, with a forum that fosters professional development, community service, social awareness, and political involvement.
